Maruti Suzuki Augusta: Are you also thinking of Toyota Fortuner Lane and cannot buy it at such a high price, Maruti is preparing to present its solution very soon. Maruti will soon launch its biggest SUV and most expensive premium SUV Maruti Suzuki Augusta in the Indian market, which is going to be based on the platform of Toyota Fortuner.
Maruti Suzuki Augusta is going to be very similar to Toyota Fortuner in terms of design and features. However, no official information has been revealed about it yet. AutoJournal India has shared this on its Instagram post.

During the pact between Maruti and Toyota, both the car manufacturers can introduce their respective vehicles to each other's people with some cosmetic changes and engine changes. Like we have seen with Toyota Innova High Cross and Maruti Invicto, Maruti Baleno Toyota Glanza, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Toyota High Rider. Its design is going to be inspired by Toyota Fortuner like other vehicles.
Although we are going to see many changes in its design, Augusta is going to get a friend profile like Espresso at the front, while at the rear also a rear profile similar to S presso has been offered. It will get LED headlights and LED tail lights with four grilles and center grille similar to the Espresso, along with steel wheels in the base model while the top model will be offered with alloy wheels. However, its quality is not going to be like Fortuner.

Talking about the features, the company can operate it with many great features. It is expected to get a digital instrument cluster with a large touch screen infotainment system and Apple CarPlay connectivity with wireless Android Auto. As other highlights, it will have features like head off display, cruise control, height adjustable driver seat, 360 degree camera, front ventilated seats, dual zone climate control, wireless charging.
Maruti Suzuki Augusta Sefty Features
Toyota is also known for its safety features. But we don't expect this in Maruti. According to some media reports, safety features like six airbags as standard, electronic stability control, tire pressure monitoring system, hill haul assist, sensors with reverse parking camera will be available.
Maruti Suzuki Augusta Engine Specifications
Under the bonnet, Maruti is expected to power it with the same engine as the Toyota Fortuner. Currently, Toyota Fortuner is offered with two engine options, the first being a 2.7 liter petrol engine which generates 116 bhp and 245 Nm of peak torque. Apart from this, there is another 2.8 liter turbo diesel engine which generates 204bhp and 500Nm torque.
Both these engine options are offered with a five-speed manual as standard while six-speed manual and six-speed automatic transmissions are offered as additional options. Its diesel engine option comes with 4WD technology which helps you in bad roads.
Maruti Suzuki Augusta Price
There is no information about what the price of Maruti Agusta is going to be in the Indian market, but it is expected that if it is launched in the Indian market in the coming time, then information about its prices will also be revealed very soon. If launched, its price is expected to start from Rs 30 lakh ex-showroom.
